As communications counsel, Stacy brings valuable legal and media experience to our clients. She is an experienced lawyer, having litigated complex cases for corporate and governmental clients in the areas of employment discrimination, land use, products liability, toxic tort, as well as environmental and construction law. She has also counseled clients on regulatory matters, real estate due diligence, corporate transactions, and occupational safety and health. Stacy worked as an attorney at Jenner & Block LLP, a 375-attorney firm in Chicago, and Greene Espel, PLLP, a 17-attorney litigation boutique in Minneapolis.
Prior to Rotenberg Associates, Stacy served as the general counsel and director of communications for a national research institute, working with national, regional, and local news organizations. She has extensive writing and editing experience for legal, trade, and special interest publications.
Stacy is a summa cum laude graduate of Emerson College (Boston) in Communications, Political Science and Law, and a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Minnesota Law School. She served as a law clerk to the Hon. Myron H. Bright, United States Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit. In 2006, she was selected as a “Minnesota Rising Star” based on a statewide survey of lawyers conducted by Minnesota Law & Politics.
Beyond her professional work, Stacy is the past-president of the University of Minnesota Law School’s Alumni Board of Directors, and she currently serves as the Chair for the Board’s Development Committee. Stacy served as an official international election observer for El Salvador’s 1994 presidential elections, and she has also volunteered with hospice organizations, working with patients and their families.
